About

The purpose of this blog is to educate the dog park–going masses on the basics of dog body language and communication so that we, as owners and dog lovers, can learn to communicate with our pets more efficiently and so that we can learn to recognize the warning signs in our dog's body-language.

I decided to create this blog to try and make the dog park experience a bit more pleasant for both dogs and humans alike. Some of you may know a bit of dog behavior, and other's none. Hopefully, those of you that would like to learn more, will, and through that knowledge, be able to better understand your canine companions/children/family members.

I have two dogs of my own at home as well as two cats. Dog behavior absolutely fascinates me, so I read up on it whenever I can. I help Salt Lake County Animal Services on Mondays with their daily playgroups for the shelter dogs and that has been a truly enlightening experience. Getting to watch the dogs interact with one another and communicate using just a glance or their body is amazing and thoroughly entertaining.

Me and our pups. On the left is Kitna, on the right is Snickers.

I enjoy your theme. Also how brief and to the point this page is, and why we should accept your credibility.
    Con:
I would like to see some of your sentances restructured. I can understand what you're trying to say, however it just seemed to hiccup on a few of them. For example "I decided to create this page out of frustration at the common dog owners horribly poor lack of knowledge in the basics of dog behavior when attending the dog park." I would try to break that into two sentances, or take out some of the extra words.

    Good start though!

  2. I like how your post is kind of upside down. You have the purpose of the blog in the first paragraph, why you created it in the second, and then your background in the last. Usually people would have it the other way around but I actually like how you constructed it. I can’t find anything that I would change.

  3. Great choice for your theme. I also liked how the purpose of your site was presented first. Everything was clear and to the point. I would recommend including pictures of you and your pets when you get a chance.

  4. I thought that this was a good about page. I liked how your theme went with your topic. But, I do agreed with Jason commet. But i do know that a lot of people dont know how to communicate with thier dogs. Some people would hit thier dogs to get them to lisean to them. I just think its mean and that his blog will hopefully help them talk to thier dogs the right way.
